Where the name comes from

The name comes from Latin notitia — knowledge, and at the same time the register in which it is recorded. It descends from noscere, to come to know, from the same Indo-European root that gave us know, ken and gnosis. Ordering knowledge so it can be found is not a new idea. It just never had good software.

Why we build it

More than twenty years in contact centres, and the same sticking point every time. Automation projects, optimisation programmes, sound plans — they rarely failed on the technology. They failed because there was no central, structured knowledge for them to stand on.

With AI, that has become the decisive question. A model is only as good as the knowledge you point it at. Point it at an unsorted archive and you get answers nobody wants to stand behind. That is why we build NOTIARA: so reviewed knowledge is created in one place — and arrives where the question is asked.
